Welcome to your school lunch

ISS Education provide catering services at the academy. Their mission is to feed hungry minds! Menus are created based on the principles of the Soil Association’s Bronze Food for Life Catering Mark. The Food for Life Catering Mark criteria have been developed to reflect best practice in healthy and sustainable school food.

All our food is cooked freshly in school on a daily basis.

Each day your child can enjoy the following:
A choice of main meals
A choice of seasonal vegetables
A dessert, piece of fresh fruit or an organic yogurt
Access to the salad bar, crusty bread and drinking water

Payment for dinner monies are made through our Parentpay facility.

The cost of a school dinner if your child is in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Key Stage 2) is £2.67 per day (£13.35 per week).

Children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (Key Stage 1) currently receive a universal school meal for free.

For further information regarding school dinners then please contact Mrs Breedon at the school office. If you think that you may be entitled to Free School Meals, please apply directly to Wakefield Coucil via this link as you can no longer apply with a paper copy of the form.   https://www.wakefield.gov.uk/schools-and-education/schools/free-school-meals/

Medical Dietary Requirements

As our catering providers, ISS Education is dedicated to ensuring pupils can enjoy nutritious and delicious
lunches which are served safely in healthy environments. Their robust dietary safeguarding procedure is
designed to both safeguard children with medical conditions and support the catering staff involved in the
preparation and service of lunch time meals.

The below policy explains the process by which ISS Education is able to cater for pupils with medically
based dietary requirements, which may be due to food allergy, intolerance and/or other medical conditions,
e.g. coeliac disease.
